DESCRIPTION

Physical Description: Joseph have smooth dirty blonde hair that goes down to his eyes. His eyes are greenish blue though sometimes it is more of one color than the other. Sometimes, he would have his hair spiked up just so it would be different from before. He stands at 5’7” and is fairly skinny.
Style: He likes to wear jeans and long sleeve shirts. He don’t really have any specific style though he enjoy anything comfortable and/or artsy. His style is mostly unique.

Personality: Joseph is an artist and loves art of all types whether it is drawing, painting, poetry, acting, literature, music, etc. He is an animal lover, who volunteers at the animal shelter and the orphanage that raised him after his parents died. He is a very kind person and really easy to get along with. His mother taught him that all life is precious and he shouldn’t kill unless it is necessary like if he is fighting a demon. He is against fighting unless he really feels he have to. Though he is nice and kind and against fighting, that don’t stop him from fighting if he have to protect someone. He is very protective of the ones that he care about.

He loves to help people and protect people but when it comes to people helping and protecting him, he whether they don’t. He is always afraid that they would get hurt because of him which is why he started off refusing Paige’s offer to go to magic school. Because of his protective and mysterious ways, he sometimes would get into trouble from keeping important information from people who need them but he only did that to protect them.

History:Joseph grew up in a two story house with his mother who was a white-lighter and his father was a witch. His mother was the white-lighter of his father and his father was a protector of a magical amulet. Their love was forbidden, so they couldn't marry, but that never stopped them from being with each other and conceiving Joseph. Growing up, Joseph’s father trained him on making potions and creating spells. He became a natural when he came to using his powers of geokinesis which is the power to control earth. His parents would spar with him, to help him to improve his powers though he showed no abilities of a white-lighter.

When Joseph wasn’t practicing his powers and studying spells at home, he was doing artsy things like drawing or reading poetry or acting. He always showed a love in the arts and because of the spells he makes up himself, he was fairly good at poetry. He would spend hours drawing in his room or acting in a school play. Then when he wasn’t, he was helping his parents protect the magic amulet that his mother had to protect.

In school he was a very bright kid and usually got good grades though he struggled a bit in history. History was his main flaw when it came to mortal things. When it came to magical things, his flaw and the main thing that saddened him was his lack of ability to orb or heal. He always wished to be able to protect his family and heal them if something happened but no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t.

One night, Joseph came downstairs and saw his mother fighting a dark-lighter and his father lying on the ground. Beside the dark lighter was a horrible-looking demon smiling. When his mother saw that Joseph was watching them, his mother orbed the 11-year old boy onto the street. Frightened and confused, he ran to the nearest police station, to report the incident to the police. Remembering what his parent's told him about exposing magic, so Joseph told the police that someone broke into his house. The police put Joseph in his car, and drove toward the house.

Later that night, Joseph returned hoping to see his parents waiting for him, but when he got there, he saw his parents' bodies on the floor. The police put Joseph in the police car and went back inside. Joseph snuck out of the car and climbed a tree that leads to his window. Since he was upstairs, he began to pack up his stuff. He packed a backpack full of cloths, a picture of his family, and saw a star shape amulet on his dresser. Remembering the amulet belonged to his family and his father, he put it around his neck and went into his room. When he got to his room, the dark-lighter appeared black-orbed in and tried shot Joseph with a poison arrow.

Joseph left his arm up and for the first time, he used his orbing powers to send the poison arrow back, killing the darklighter. He never seen the demon again, though. He climbed back down and went back into the police car just as he came out their house. After a couple of days, police searched the house to try to find out how the couple was murdered and Joseph was sent to an orphanage. While at the orphanage, he found that he had to protect the children of the orphanage, and then he met Paige, who saved him from a demon. She told him about magic school where he have been going for a few years now while going back to the orphanage to check on the children.
Any Extra Information:The amulet his mother would protect is called a Demon Star Amulet. Demon Star Amulet- Long ago, thousands of higher-level demons was in the underworld plotting to take over the Surface world by force, but five very powerful witches cast a spell causing all the demons and their powers to be sucked into a star shaped amulet. One of the five witches took the amulet, swearing to protect it no matter what. That witch was Joseph's great-great-great-great grandmother and his family been protecting it. Whenever he gets worried or get a strange feeling, he grabs onto the amulet as a habit.




SAMPLE WRITING: Sitting under a tree, practicing drawing birds, Joseph began to get this feeling that he was being watched. He looked around and saw there was no one around, and as soon as he went back to his drawing, he heard rustling in the bushes and glanced up to see a squirrel hopping from out of the bushes. All Joseph can do was grin when a fireball, hit the squirrel, frying it, and then another fireball was coming toward him. Joseph gasped as he orbed out of the spot, causing the fireball to hit the tree. He orbed back in that position and searched the area for the culprit. Suddenly fireballs started to surround him as they were shot by several demons all around.

Joseph slammed his hand to the ground, palm downward, and the Earth beneath him began to shake as a wall made of rocks surrounded his body, and blocked the fireballs from making contact. He clapped his hands and the rock wall shattered, creating sharp rock needles that began to float into the air. Joseph stretched out his arms and the rock needles shot in all directions and all Joseph could hear was demons screaming in pain as the rock needles vanquished them. He sighs, thinking it is over when a fireball hit him from behind, sending him crashing to the ground.

A demon shimmered in front of the boy with a fireball in each hand. The demon threw both fireballs and Joseph looked up, yelling out, “FIREBALL!” One of the fireballs orbed into the other, putting each other out. Then Joseph quickly pulled a potion out his pocket and threw it at the demon’s feet. The demon cried in pain, as flames licked his doomed body. Then he exploded, and Joseph ran for his sketchbook, and orbed out the area.
