DESCRIPTION

Physical Description: Standing six feet tall, Drake towers above many; his dark hair, dark eyes, square jaw and devilish smile often serve to make others look twice. His smile is relaxed and reassuring, though his eyes often flash with excitement. Somehow Drake manages to pull off a suave appearance when dealing with most things.
Style: Depending on the circumstance, Drake appears how he believes it is best to. As a teacher, he is smart, yet roguish enough to make most ladies hearts flutter. Outside of school, a pair of casual trousers and t-shirt allow him to relax some. His style could be totally summed up as smart yet roguish.
Looks Like: Billy Zane

Personality: As a demon, Drake was up there, he even made it into the Book of Shadows. But since those days he has relaxed a lot, though kept a lot of his cheeky arrogance that comes with being powerful and well known amongst both demon and witch kind.
He enjoys all literature and reading, theatre and drama. Drake is completely in love with romance, and humankind. He enjoys all kinds of fun activities, such as skiing, dancing, and generally enjoying life.
Drake dislikes the idea of hurting humans, beings filled with emotion and wonderment. He also wants people to know how lucky they are, and dislikes the fact that some people don’t understand that. His attitude towards life is very happy-go-lucky, and he wants everything to flow more easily, and people to worry less. His heart is always in the right place however, though sometimes it leads him to bad decisions.

History: Drake was hatched a demon through and through. He grew up in the underworld, but spent most of his time reading, if not all of it. His complete devotion to reading was the undoing of his demonic self, and he couldn't bring himself to ever harm an innocent, at least no human one. The demonic side of him was always channelled at other demons, especially those that laughed or scorned his love of human literature through the ages.

Not much else is known of Drake, bar that he once made a deal with Cole, Phoebe's first husband. The deal was simply that he would help Cole aid Phoebe in not giving up on love; in exchange he got to be human for a short while, experiencing all the incredible things that he could once have only read about. This turned on him in that he only ended up with two weeks with the woman he ended up falling in love with, and Drake passed on just after he shared a single kiss with Phoebe Halliwell. The deal with Cole was never shared with ANYONE and to this date no one is still any the wiser.

His passing was complicated however, and because there was so much he had done in exchange for another's happiness, he was given a second chance as such. He was granted a full human lifespan, in exchange for his most deadly demonic power - thermal blasts. Overjoyed with that outcome, there was one clause, and that was that should he ever give into any minor temptation presented by the darker side of magic, then he would suffer purgatory for the rest of his human life span, only then passing after he had served his punishment.

Dropped back in the city of the Charmed Ones, Drake first set himself up as a dance tutor and volunteer amateur dramatist in order to earn money to sustain his now human existence. Once he had enough money, he set about finding about Magic School once more, wanting to fulfill his previous position as teacher to the young magical minds. Knowing that Phoebe may be around was only another plus to the job.

Upon seeing Phoebe for the first time in his interview, though it was only a passing glance and one sided, Drake knew at once that he was still in love with the woman. His interviewer commented on the direction of his gaze, and mentioned her children, which almost broke his heart there and then. But the one saving factor was that she hadn't given up on love. And that meant that something had gone right somewhere. The father of her children would never be an enemy in his eyes so long as Phoebe was happy with him.

Any Extra Information: Was once utterly in love with Phoebe, but didn't get to explore this beyond a lot of laughs and one kiss.


SAMPLE WRITING:
After his interview, Drake sat back slightly and smiled to himself. It had gone quite well, considering he had mentioned upfront that he was once a demon, and had - well - died a while back. It seemed that magic school was a lot more trusting now than when he had first applied. That was no bad thing though to his mind and meant that there was a higher chance of things just going well this time. There were no sorcerers to mess things up and no deadline (bad pun) to worry about. Just the job in hand and experiencing everything that the world had to offer to humankind. There was one small concern to him...

She was still as beautiful as he had thought when first meeting her. He had of course checked on her when he was...of another world... but the memories of that time were all but forgotten to him. Drake only vaguely remembered the conditions of this second chance, but the place and the people...All gone. And the strongest memory he had of his life before were the days he had had at the end, the two weeks he had spent with Phoebe. The memory of her laugh still made his lips twitch upward and his heart skip a beat. The problem was that she was married and had a family. And he wasn't sure how he would be able to face her for the first time. Each time after would be easier, but that first moment he was dreading.

"I wonder if she thinks of me when she dances...." The words were barely a murmur, and yet were enough for his mind to be made. If that alone was all that they would share of what they had felt before then he could stand anything. He was sure that this life was to be the real new beginning he had wanted of being human.

Love it! One thing, I had to take out "English / Lit" from the list of classes they could take because I needed to fit in a 3rd power and if they were a whitelighter the "Intro To Becoming A White-Lighter" or if they were seniors the "Living Non Magical"... is there anything else he might like to teach - esp from the list on the characters needed list?
